I'm sitting here watching Skyline with my 11-year-old son and I think this is possibly the dumbest sci-fi movie since Plan 9 From Outer Space. I don't know - maybe Plan 9 was better... at least it had a legendary actor in it!The aliens in this film are so hokey it hurts. They seem to be a combination between the machines in The Matrix (okay - A LOT like the machines) and the aliens in Independence Day. But the effects in this film are really poor for this day and age.
Oh, and the love story subtext is lame. Was this movie made for TV? The most rewarding thing about this film is that I didn't pay to see it in a theater. Honestly, I may have slept through it.
Seriously. Jared's brain is going to save the world? I doubt it. Please don't let there be a sequel!
